Meditation Challenge

Meditation is an incredibly helpful tool for bringing balance, health and peace into your life. I have been meditating since I was 15 years old and practicing on a daily basis has been transformational. New scientific research is finding that this ancient practice is not only helpful in bringing calm to your mind but can actually have a positive effect on your hormone levels, stress levels, blood pressure and heart rate.

For me, I initially started using meditation to help with the headaches I suffered from as a teenager. Whenever I would feel one coming on I would sit quietly and meditate for 20 to 30 minutes and the pain would fade away. When I was in my 20’s I found a daily meditation was helpful in dealing with stress and anxiety. In my 30’s I began to use more intensive meditation techniques to assist in my person journey of self-discovery. Today I use meditation to help me connect to Spirit and to expand my Reiki practice.

The Chopra Center (founded by the grandfather of modern meditation Deepak Chopra) is conducting a Meditation Challenge to help more people discover this incredible tool and how they can incorporate it into their lives.
