Happy St Patricks Day

The story of St. Patrick that most of us are familiar with is that he drove the snakes from Ireland. What many people do not realize is that the snake is a metaphor for the pagan goddess worshiping clans that dominated Ireland in the 4th century. Patrick is a saint of Christianity because he brought the church to Ireland and helped banish the druids.

Today the energies of the Age of Aquarius encourage us to remember that there is not just one path to divinity. We can find our way to Spirit using many different rituals and cerimonies and none are more relevant then any other. So today while I raise a beer and celebrate my Irish heritage I will be adorned with snakes and saying a blessing to Mother Earth for all her support. Slainte!
