Blessed Samhain, Happy Halloween
Today is an ancient celtic holiday called Samhain (pronounced Sow-En) where the ‘death of summer’ is honored and preparations are made for the long cold winter. This is a day when the veil between our physical world and the spirit world is at its thinnest. When our ancestors walk closely at our side and we honor their lives and contributions.
Today is a day of remembrance of those that came before us and a celebration of how our lives are better for having known them. Not with sorrow or dread or fear but with joy and gratitude and a generous spirit. Give thanks today for those that came before, honor them with a moment or a word and acknowledge how blessed you are to have known them.
